Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) – 16 Hour Duration
WRAP is a simple and powerful process for creating the life and wellness you want. With WRAP, you can:
1. Discover simple, safe, and effective tools to create and maintain wellness.
2. Develop a daily plan to stay on track with your life and wellness goals.
3. Identify what throws you off track and develop a plan to keep moving forward.
4. Gain support and stay in control even in a crisis.
The WRAP process supports you to identify the tools that keep you well and create action plans to put them into practice in your everyday life. All along the way, WRAP helps you incorporate key recovery concepts and wellness tools into your plans and your life.
This is also one of the required trainings to become a CRPS.

Peer Recovery Coach Training for the CRPS
This peer support course is designed for individuals looking to begin their journey as a peer recovery support specialist or peer recovery coach in the substance use field; or for those who are looking to learn how to better engage with those suffering from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Participants will gain a strong foundation of the roles of a peer recovery coach and understand how the roles are different from other traditional and existing support methods. Participants will be introduced to the many concepts and skills involved in effective recovery coaching, preparing them for professional roles to serve their communities as peer support advocates.
Course Objectives:
1. Understand the basics of addiction and the brain.
2. Understand common behaviors of addiction.
3. Practice skills of motivational interviewing.
4. Define the roles of a recovery coach.
5. Gain an understanding of what recovery is.
6. Evaluate the stages of change and stages of recovery.
7. Identify harm reduction.
8. Develop reuse prevention plans.
9. Utilize SMART Goals.
10. Recognize the importance of self-care.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Seminar I
Time Requirement: 16 hours
This interactive seminar introduces participants to the foundational concepts of WRAP, including its values, ethics, and five key principles. Attendees will learn to develop a personalized WRAP tailored to their individual wellness goals. This seminar is ideal for anyone interested in enhancing their personal well-being and serves as the first step toward becoming a certified WRAP Facilitator. Additionally, this training is a necessary requirement to become a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist.

Building upon the foundations laid in Seminar I, this advanced three-day seminar equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and materials necessary to facilitate WRAP Seminar I within their communities and organizations. Through interactive learning activities and presentations, attendees will deepen their understanding of WRAP facilitation, ethics, and values.

Choices Peer Recovery Coach Training
Time Requirement: 30 hours
This comprehensive training series is designed for individuals aiming to become peer recovery support specialists or coaches in the substance use field. Participants will gain a solid foundation in the roles and responsibilities of a peer recovery coach, distinguishing these roles from traditional support methods. Additionally, this training is a necessary requirement to become a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist. The series includes:
- 30-hour Core Peer Coach Training
- 12-hour Ethical Foundations
- 6-hour HIV/AIDS Education
- 6-hour Suicide Prevention for Non-Clinical Workers Upon completion, participants will be well-prepared to effectively engage with individuals experiencing substance use disorder (SUD).

Parent Café Host Training
Time Requirement: 8 hours
Our Parent Café Training is an experiential and highly interactive workshop that prepares participants to convene and conduct Parent Cafés. These Cafés are structured, small group conversations that facilitate transformation and healing within families, build community, and engage parents as partners in the programs that serve them. Participants will learn to create an ambiance conducive to open dialogue, develop their own Café themes, and understand the foundations underlying the Café model.

Exemption Assistance Training
Time Requirement: 2 hours
We understand that some individuals may face background challenges that could hinder their participation in certain programs or employment opportunities. Our Exemption Assistance Training is designed to provide guidance and support to help these individuals navigate and overcome such obstacles, ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities they need for successful recovery and reintegration.

Peer Based Support For Pregnant and Parenting Families
Time Requirement: Two-day in-person workshop, or virtual/hybrid option.
The Peer-Based Recovery Support for Pregnant and Parenting Families training is designed to equip organizations with trauma-informed, person-centered approaches to support families affected by substance use disorder (SUD). Developed with SAMHSA funding, this training prepares peer support specialists, healthcare providers, child welfare staff, and community organizations to effectively engage and empower parents in recovery. Covering topics such as Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS), trauma-informed care, early attachment, recovery planning, and ethical peer support, participants will gain essential tools to reduce stigma, navigate systemic barriers, and foster collaboration across sectors—ultimately improving outcomes for both parents and children.

Motivational Interviewing
Time Requirement: 3 sessions | Total of 10 Continuing Education (CE) hours
This foundational training in Motivational Interviewing is designed for peer recovery support workers and peer coaches, focusing on evidence-based techniques to encourage behavior change while honoring the peer role of minimizing power differentials. Over the course of three sessions, participants will earn 10 CE hours as they explore the spirit of motivational conversation, practice active listening, identify ambivalence, and learn to apply core OARS skills—Open-Ended Questions, Affirmations, Reflective Listening, and Summarizing.

Peer Supervision
Time Requirement: 8 hours
This Peer Supervision Course for Peer Supervisors is an online, virtual training designed for individuals responsible for supervising peer workers in recovery settings. Recognized by NAADAC, the Florida Certification Board, the Connecticut Certification Board, the Colorado Providers Association, and meeting NH CRSW and LADC/MLADC requirements, it is also accepted in Illinois for initial certification and aligns with the NCPRSS credential criteria. The training equips participants with knowledge of state-specific supervision requirements, the IC & RC Four Performance Domains (with a focus on Advocacy and Ethics), and key supervisory skills such as emotional intelligence and peer supervision. Participants will gain tools to support recovery-oriented supervision, improve their competencies, and ensure the success of peer roles within their organizations.
