Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) – 16 Hour Duration

WRAP is a simple and powerful process for creating the life and wellness you want. With WRAP, you can:

1. Discover simple, safe, and effective tools to create and maintain wellness.
2. Develop a daily plan to stay on track with your life and wellness goals.
3. Identify what throws you off track and develop a plan to keep moving forward.
4. Gain support and stay in control even in a crisis.

The WRAP process supports you to identify the tools that keep you well and create action plans to put them into practice in your everyday life. All along the way, WRAP helps you incorporate key recovery concepts and wellness tools into your plans and your life.

This is also one of the required trainings to become a CRPS.

Peer Recovery Coach Training for the CRPS

This peer support course is designed for individuals looking to begin their journey as a peer recovery support specialist or peer recovery coach in the substance use field; or for those who are looking to learn how to better engage with those suffering from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Participants will gain a strong foundation of the roles of a peer recovery coach and understand how the roles are different from other traditional and existing support methods. Participants will be introduced to the many concepts and skills involved in effective recovery coaching, preparing them for professional roles to serve their communities as peer support advocates.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand the basics of addiction and the brain.
2. Understand common behaviors of addiction.
3. Practice skills of motivational interviewing.
4. Define the roles of a recovery coach.
5. Gain an understanding of what recovery is.
6. Evaluate the stages of change and stages of recovery.
7. Identify harm reduction.
8. Develop reuse prevention plans.
9. Utilize SMART Goals.
10. Recognize the importance of self-care.

This is a NAADAC AND FCB approved training. Combined with our wrap training it meets all necessary requirements to be a CRPS in Florida.
